My Story

Our Candidate

The Judge

As Judge of the 310th Family District Court, I am committed to fairness, impartiality, and a deep understanding of the law. With over 40 years of legal-related service, I’ve seen the real and often painful challenges that families face—and I’ve dedicated my career to helping them find stability, healing, and hope. My legal journey has taken me from serving with The Craig Washington Law Firm to a judicial internship at the First Court of Appeals, and into leadership within the American Bar Association. Outside the courtroom, I’ve been a Court Appointed Special Advocate and a steadfast supporter of organizations focused on the well-being of children and families. These diverse experiences have shaped the judge I am today—one who leads with compassion, integrity, and a commitment to justice. Your support for #Heath4Judge helps ensure that every family who enters the courtroom is met with fairness, dignity, and the rule of law.

A Record of Results

As Judge of the 310th Family District Court, I believe families deserve timely and fair resolutions. In 2025, I maintained one of the highest clearance rates among all Family District Courts in Harris County — closing 116% of cases filed in my court, well above the county-wide average of 104%.

This number isn’t just a statistic — it represents real families receiving answers, relief, and a path forward without unnecessary delays. With over 40 years of legal experience, I bring both efficiency and compassion to the bench, ensuring each case is handled with the care it deserves.

I’m proud of this work, and I’m running for re-election in 2026 to continue serving with the same dedication, fairness, and results-driven approach.

Background

The Personal

In my personal life, I find great joy in cycling and have proudly participated in the MS150—a challenging 150+ mile ride from Houston to Austin. The Texas MS150, organized annually by the National MS Society’s South Central Chapter, is more than just a ride; it’s a movement of hope for those affected by multiple sclerosis. Being part of this event has allowed me to contribute to a cause that truly matters.

I completed my tenure as President of the University Area Rotary Club, where I was deeply involved in the United States–Russian Intercountry Committee Rotary Exchange. Our Club’s major project is the Texas Firefighters Home. The mission of this project is close to my heart—providing temporary, fully furnished housing for firefighters and first responders at little or no cost while they undergo treatment at the Texas Medical Center for work-related injuries and medical conditions. In 2016, I had the honor of serving as the Inaugural Gala Chair and later as the Logistics Chair, overseeing the full furnishing of the forty-unit apartment complex.

Beyond my professional and volunteer commitments, I love reading and staying actively engaged with my church, First United Methodist, downtown branch. My two adult sons, Christopher and Nicholas, are my biggest supporters, standing by me with unwavering encouragement as I continue to serve my community.
